The Cheshire Clouds

Once a flourishing village along the Ohio River in southeast Ohio, the town of Cheshire was bought out by American Electric Power in the early 2000s, after residents expressed concern about emissions from the Gavin Power Plant, which had been constructed three decades prior. The power plant has left a lasting mark on those who continue to live in the area – and on the local landscape. Filmed, produced, and edited by Lauren Pond.
