Welcome to my redesigned website! A lot has happened in recent months. I recently wrapped up a contract photography position with Ohio University Communications and Marketing. I also wrapped up another great year with the Athens Photographic Project (APP), a non-profit organization that advances mental health recovery through the arts. From 2014 to 2015, I worked as the organization’s Exhibitions and Outreach Assistant, and created an online archive to showcase the work of APP artists. Check out some of their amazing photography here.
This August, I will be moving to Columbus, Ohio, where I will continue to freelance and work on documentary projects about faith and religion. I will also be assisting with the Religious Soundmap Project at Ohio State University, a grant-funded initiative that aurally and visually explores how diverse faiths are practiced in the Midwest. The project website has not officially launched yet, but you can read more about it here. I’m very excited to continue documenting a topic that has long interested me, and to work with communities in greater depth.
Here is some of my most recent work:
BikerFest at the Rushing Wind Biker Church in Zanesville, Ohio.
Ramadan prayers at the Noor Islamic Cultural Center in Dublin, Ohio.
Monroe Independence Day Pow Wow in Sardis, Ohio.
Spiritual flutist at LilyFest in Laurelville, Ohio.
