Graduation Day

Since moving to Columbus, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the city’s refugee communities. While volunteering at CMAA Refugee Services, I met my friend Hannah, whose family is originally from Somalia. A few weeks ago, she graciously invited me to attend her graduation from Zenith Academy, a local charter school. It was inspiring to meet graduates and families from many different backgrounds, and to learn of their achievements and future plans. Hannah is interested in photography, so we’ve been exploring the city’s art scene together over the past few months. Many adventures lie ahead!
